MANHATTAN PIED-A-
This project comprised the complete renovation of a contemporary 2-bedroom pied-à-terre, overlooking the Hudson River. In order to make the most of the views, the apartment was opened up into a modern, open living / dining space, allowing plenty of natural light to flood in. Simultaneously, the flow of the apartment was reconfigured, creating functional storage space to allow for uncluttered, airy living.
Finishes were carefully selected with the owners love of entertaining in mind – such as the choice to go for an easy-to-care, Sunbrella ® fabric on the Mitchell Gold sofa, or the luxurious, yet super durable leather on the matching Cappellini ‘Orla’ armchairs.
For the master bedroom and living room, Ksenia worked with the owners to source classic, pared-back furniture to complement the apartment – including a matching ‘Brest’ dresser and night table set from Cappellini, ‘Solange’ home office desk from Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, and a set of vintage Cab 412 dining chairs pared with the Le Corbusier table from Cassina. Meanwhile, the guest bedroom was refreshed with a custom-built bookcase and sumptuous charcoal velvet headboards.
