MAMA ROUX.
The space, located in a historic preservation building was created from scratch in 2018-19. Materials and decorative items were all sourced locally, from the Vintage Art Deco sconces to the cabinetry produced by local craftsmen.
The inspiration for the interiors comes from New Orleans Creole culture, the second line parades and the cajun cuisine. We wanted to create a space that was warm and cozy with elegant and timeless details.
“To delight in the warm glow of the Art Deco sconces while taking in the spices of the Cajun cuisine was nothing short of magical. It’s a space that is been so well designed it feels as though it has always been there.”
